DALLAS – Kosmos Energy’s production in Equatorial Guinea during 4Q 2019 averaged 11,400 b/d net, the company said in its latest review of operations.
In late October, the offshore S-5 well encountered around 39 m (128 ft) of net oil pay in good-quality Santonian reservoir. The well, which is within tieback range of the Ceiba FPSO, was drilled in around 800 m (2,624 ft) of water to a total MD of around 4,400 m (14,435 ft).
Offshore Ghana, Kosmos is a partner to Tullow Oil in the Jubilee field where a gas enhancement program was recently completed. Oil production is now around 90,000 b/d.
Off Mauritania/Senegal, the BP-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim gas/condensate project remains on track with Phase 1 around 25% complete. Pre-FEED continues for Phases 2 and 3, which will expand the LNG export capacity to almost 10 MMt/yr.
