Offshore staff
LONDON – Premier Oil has produced first gas from its Bison, Iguana and Gajah Puteri (BIG-P) fields in block A in the Natuna Sea offshore Indonesia.
The company says it completed the two-year development project below budget, and expects to be able to recover more than the 93 bcf estimated at project sanction.
This follows a successful three-well drilling campaign that encountered additional productive sands.
BIG-P production is tied into the existing block A infrastructure, and supports the company’s long-term gas sales contracts into Singapore.
