PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad—bp Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT) has completed its Trinidad Offshore Pipeline Replacement project and has integrated the new infrastructure into its operations.
The operation involved laying a new 96-km, 12-inch pipeline that will transport liquids from offshore facilities for processing at bp’s onshore reception terminal at Galeota Point. It replaces the previous pipeline, which had come to the end of its design life.
The infrastructure upgrade should ensure continued safe and reliable operations, the company said, and was one of various investments made over the past five years to improve the integrity of bp’s pipeline and liquids handling infrastructure to support future gas developments.
