ONGC has awarded TGS a 3D streamer survey contract over the Mahanadi Basin offshore eastern India.
The Ramform Sovereign seismic acquisition vessel will mobilize for the six-month survey in January.
According to TGS, India is undergoing an active period of streamer seismic and ocean-bottom node (OBN) work. TGS will deploy its broadband GeoStreamer acquisition technology for the program.
TGS also secured an award of an OBN contract in Europe. The company’s node-on-a-rope crew is scheduled to begin acquisition in early April 2025, with a contract duration of about 35 days.
