TGS is expanding 3D seismic coverage for its offshore Benin MegaSurvey, in cooperation with Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures du Bénin (SNH-B).
The company plans to add 2,248 sq km of conventional 3D data from the continental shelf to the slope, with a view to revealing previously untapped exploration potential.
In addition, TGS has incorporated 10 wells into its RockAVO atlas. The integrated seismic data/well information service offers the following capabilities:
Interactive rock physics atlas for investigating rock physics models, analyzing elastic properties and visualizing seismic AVO responses.
Well data integration provides access to well logs, rock physics models and data atlases in a single platform to help streamline exploration workflows.
Scenario testing includes screening for geological analogs and assessing lithology, fluid content and porosity to de-risk plays.
Enhanced quality control supports data accuracy and seismic image integrity.
