Offshore staff
OSLO, Norway — PGS expects to start acquisition shortly of an extensive 4D survey over the Barracuda Caratinga fields in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil.
This follows receipt of the final permit from the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA).
Petrobras awarded the contract in December 2022. The original aim had been to begin the program in June/July 2023.
PGS reactivated the Ramform Victory for the work, and the vessel is currently sailing from Rio de Janeiro.
The project should take about eight months to complete, with the PGS Apollo also operating as a source vessel over the more complex areas of the survey.
