BERGEN, Norway – TGS has contracted Shearwater GeoServices to acquire 3D seismic in the Norwegian Sea this summer.
One of the company’s vessels will acquire the data over a 5,135-sq km (1,982-sq mi) area over a three-month period, using FlexiSource and a wide-tow spread. The program should be completed by the end of September.
Last year the company acquired 29,500 sq km (11,390 sq mi) of FlexiSource data for TGS, including 17,700 sq km (6,934 sq mi) for theTGS Atlantic Margin project.
Elsewhere, three of Shearwater’s vessels are currently engaged in surveys in the Indian Ocean.
