LIMASSOL, Cyprus -- The vessels Hugin Explorer and Kondor Explorer have completed an ocean bottom node (OBN) survey for BP Exploration & Production in the Gulf of Mexico. The proprietary survey represented the second stage (T1) of a time-lapse program on the BP-operated Atlantis field.

Hugin Explorer deployed 500 nodes and positioned removable sensors using ROV support in depths ranging from 1,300 to 2,200 m (4,265 to 7,218 ft). The Kondor Explorerwas used as the source vessel for the program.

The shooting program was completed on Sept. 19, and all nodes were recovered by Sept. 21. A total of 494 nodes were good for data acquisition purposes.
