Spectrum ASA (OSLO:SPU) is acquiring a new multi-client 3D seismic survey offshore Lebanon in the Mediterranean’s Levantine basin.

HOUSTON –Spectrum ASA (OSLO:SPU) is acquiring a new multi-client 3D seismic survey offshore Lebanon in the Mediterranean’s Levantine basin. The Ministry of Energy and Water of Lebanon contracted the survey in the southwest Exclusive Economic Zone.
The survey is carried out in cooperation with Dolphin Geophysical using itsPolar Duke vessel which will acquire at least 1,500 sq. km. (579 sq. mi.) of data using 12 streamers and dual source. This is the first phase of a project that will incorporate up to 3,000 sq. km. (1,158 sq. mi.) when completed before the end of September.
Fasttrack on board processing results will be available in November and the final data in early 2013 before the first ever Lebanese licensing round.
