OSLO, Norway –Petroleum Geo-Services has deployed 17 streamers from the Ramform Sovereign on a project in the Norwegian North Sea to set a new record.
The high-density 4D project has streamers towed 50 m (164 ft) apart.

"We are confident that we will achieve new towing records later this year whenRamform Sovereign starts on the industry's largest ever HD4D job for Petrobras where parts of the job will be conducted with 18 streamers at 50 m separation."
TheSovereign is the first in a third generation of Ramform vessels. PGS expects delivery of a second such vessel, the Ramform Sterling in 2Q 2009.
