San Leon Energy has issued an update on its exploration plans for the Durresi block offshore Albania.

DUBLIN, Ireland – San Leon Energy has issued an update on its exploration plans for the Durresi block offshore Albania.
Following an 840-sq km (324-sq mi) 3D seismic survey in 2011, the focus in 2012 was on pre-stack depth migration. Interpretation identified the “Alban Complex,” with potential recoverable resources of 3.2 tcf (90.6 bcm) of gas and 145 MMbbl of condensate.
This year San Leon secured a two-year extension to the license which is awaiting approval from Albania’s Council of Ministers. The company plans to use the additional time to bring in a partner to fund its first offshore well. The center of the Alban Complex has high pressures that will require specialized drilling expertise.
