Dolphin prepares for 3D seismic survey offshore Romania

BUCHAREST, Romania – GC Rieber Shipping subsidiary Dolphin Geophysical has agreed to acquire 3D seismic for Black Sea Oil & Gas.
The contractor will deploy its 16-streamer vesselPolar Marquis, towing a high-resolution multi-streamer configuration. The program will start shortly in the Romanian sector of the Black Sea.
Dolphin’s agreement extends to processing services, including delivery of a fasttrack 3D volume.
Black Sea Oil & Gas operates the XIII Pelican, XV Midia Shallow, and EX-25 Luceafarul blocks, spanning 5,000 sq km (1,931 sq mi), in partnership with Gas Plus International (Midia and Pelican) and Petro Ventures Europe (Midia, Pelican, and Luceafarul).
