OSLO, Norway — The consortium between TGS, PGS and SLB has attracted pre-funding for the seventh phase of a 2D seismic data program offshore Sabah, Malaysia.
It involves acquiring more than 5,000 km of new 2D data, over processing of more than 2,600 km of seismic, and 2D-cubed processing of 2,800 sq k of data. Petronas first awarded the mulit-year contract in 2016.
SeaBird’s Eagle Explorer vessel mobilized last November and should complete acquisition of the new data next month. Fast-track results should be available to bidders for the 2024 Malaysia Bid Round.
