TGS has gained a new two-month contract for ocean-bottom node (OBN) data acquisition in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

OSLO, NorwayTGS has gained a new two-month contract for ocean-bottom node (OBN) data acquisition in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM). 

The program should start during first-quarter 2024.

According to the company, OBN technology allows for enhanced reservoir characterization and imaging of complex geological formations, reducing operational risks and costs for exploration.
