Four TGS offshore surveys in final processing phase

TGS has issued progress reports on its current seismic acquisition surveys.

OSLO, Norway  In its latest results statement, TGS has issued progress reports on its current seismic acquisition surveys.

The company recently completed the NOAKA ocean-bottom node survey in the Norwegian North Sea, an expansion of last year’s NOAKA21 survey. It expects to provide final processing results toward year-end 2023.

Acquisition also has finished on the offshore Suriname 3D survey via a consortium including CGG and BGP, with final data deliveries expected in 2023.

TGS and PGS continued acquisition of the Cameron Canyon 3D survey off eastern Canada, and again should issue final data next year.

Offshore Egypt, acquisition finished in July of the Red Sea 3D project, under a joint venture with Schlumberger, with final results due to be issued in first-quarter 2023. The Phase 2 should be completed mid-2023.

With its recent acquisition of Magseis Fairfield, TGS has strengthened its position in infrastructure-led exploration and 4D seismic, both of which it sees as long-term growth areas. The deal has also given the company a stronger presence in frontier areas off Latin America and West Africa.
