Offshore staff
BERGEN, Norway – Korea National Oil Corp. has contracted Shearwater GeoServices Holding for two 3D seismic surveys offshore South Korea.
Terms include data processing and imaging and reservoir properties prediction analysis.
It will be Shearwater’s first reservoir characterization project in partnership with Qeye.
The initial Myungtae 3D survey, will cover around 2,575 sq km (994 sq mi) over Block 6-1 Central & East. Data will be processed through a full time and depth imaging sequence, with delivery of predicted reservoir properties.
Following acquisition of the second survey – around 500 sq km (193 sq mi) – data will be processed through a full-time processing sequence.
Shearwater will use the Geo Coral for both surveys this summer, with acquisition set to take around four months to complete.
