HOUSTON – NCS SubSea has been awarded a 4D P-Cable ultra-high resolution monitor survey in the deepwater US Gulf of Mexico. The survey is planned to start in 3Q 2021 and have a duration of approximately 45 days.Â
The survey involves acquiring seismic data using the company’s P-Cable XR system, which features repeatable UHR 3D and 4D marine seismic acquisition technologies. NCS SubSea says that the system’s high-resolution recording system uses proprietary navigation and seismic acquisition technologies to provide detailed images of geology at and beneath the sea floor.
NCS SubSea says that this 4D seismic program will improve the client’s understanding of reservoir production performance and provide data to assist with further development of their asset.
