OSLO, Norway – TGS has acquired three 3D multi-client seismic surveys from Polarcus offshore Australia.
They cover a total area of 12,200 sq km (7,581 sq mi). In addition, Polarcus has permanently waived revenue share rights associated with the multi-client library that TGS acquired in 2015.
Previously Polarcus had been eligible to 50% revenue share from the relevant datasets after accumulated revenues reached certain levels.
Kristian Johansen, CEO of TGS, said the surveys, along with others acquired over the past six years, have formed the basis for further development of the relevant basins.
