OSLO, Norway – PGS is seeing an upturn in demand for offshore geophysical services, supported by oil companies reactivating work programs deferred last year.
With strong bookings both for 2Q and 3Q, and good prospects for the coming winter season, PGS is reactivating the Ramform Vanguard.
Despite the continuing impact of COVID-19, PGS expects energy consumption to continue to rise over the longer term with oil and gas remaining an important part of the energy mix in the global energy transition.
The recovery of the contract market will likely also benefit from fewer seismic vessels operating internationally, the company added.
