TRONDHEIM, Norway – Ocean Floor Geophysics (OFG) and Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) have agreed to collaborate on various projects to promote the use of marine Controlled Source Electromagnetic (CSEM) technology.
The accord highlights the synergies between OFG’s towed-streamer CSEM system (under its exclusive right to acquire PGS’ EM technology), and EMGS’ sea-bottom CSEM/MT nodal system.
Under the co-operation the two companies will pursue proprietary and multi-client surveys, and multi-physics reprocessing of existing seismic and CSEM data.
EMGS also revealed it had entered into late-sales multi-client licensing agreements valued at $1.2 million connected to its existing multi-client library in Norway.
