HOUSTON – ExxonMobil has contracted Ocean Infinity to supply autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for geophysical and geotechnical data acquisition in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana.

Ocean Infinity will deploy various AUVs simultaneously in water depths ranging from 70-2,150 m (229-7,054 ft) over an area of around 3,100 sq km (1,197 sq mi).

This approach is a more sustainable way of operating at sea, the company claimed.
