    Shearwater to acquire shallow-water seismic offshore Gambia

    BERGEN, Norway – FAR Gambia has awarded Shearwater GeoServices a 3D Isometrix seismic acquisition project offshore The Gambia.

    The one-month survey, to be conducted from the SW Amundsen, will cover parts of block A5 in the Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Conakry basin.

    It will focus on a shallow-water area with the data tying in to existing seismic to provide full coverage of over block A5, Shearwater said.

    Previously the company had been acquiring seismic over the Woodside-operated Sangomar field off Senegal to the north.
