OSLO, Norway – Equinor has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to extend the service of the NorneFPSO in the Norwegian Sea and associated facilities until the end of 2036.
The Norne field is in production license 128, around 300 km (186 mi) west of Sandnessjøen.
Production started in 1997, and various tiebacks to the FPSO have followed via subsea templates (Alve, Urd, Skuld, and Marulk).
