COVINGTON, Louisiana –In continuation of its plans to develop reserves in the Gulf of Mexico Mississippi Canyon area, LLOG Exploration Co. LLC has contracted Hyundai Heavy Industries to fabricate the production semisubmersible hull for the Delta House project.
EXMAR will provide detailed engineering on its OPTI hull design and also supervise construction at HHI.
This will be LLOG’s second OPTI design facility, following one currently producing at Who Dat in the GoM.
While not specific as to location for the new floater, LLOG has been working in Mississippi Canyon block 431 at theMarmalard and related prospects.
