LONDON – Senergy’s Survey & GeoEngineering (Senergy S&G) will support GDF Suez E&P UK in upcoming offshore construction phases of the Cygnus gas project in the UK southern North Sea.
Senergy S&G has provided survey project management and geosciences engineering consultancy services for the project, in blocks 44/11 and 44/12 since 2007, including management of 15 rig and platform site and pipeline route surveys and geotechnical investigations.
Under the new contract the company will provide onshore survey quality assurance and quality control/positioning management services. It will deploy offshore survey representatives for load out and installation of the Alpha and Bravo platforms and subsea structures; laying, trenching, backfill and rock-dumping of the export pipeline, infield pipeline and control umbilicals; spool metrology and tie-ins. All work should be completed in 2015.
Senergy S&G’s web-based GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and project information system, IRIS will allow the project teams to track vessel locations in real time and to access project status information and as-built survey and video data.
In addition, the company will provide oversight of the trenching and backfill systems and operations for the pipeline assets.
