CALGARY, Canada – Water injection has started on the Causeway field in the UK northern North Sea, according to Ithaca Energy, following completion of associated work on the Taqa-operated North Cormorant platform facilities.

Elsewhere in the region, Ithaca says drilling operations finished last month on theYthan development well and the rig has since demobilized from the field.

Remaining activity prior to the start of production from the field is installation of a subsea flowline between the wellhead and the production manifold. A diving support vessel should complete this work in the coming weeks.

In the UK central North Sea, Ithaca’s 2015 subsea infrastructure installation campaign is making progress at theGreater Stella Area development.

Since early April both the mid-water arch and the Single Anchor Loading oil export structures have been installed and the northern drill center well tie-ins have been completed.

Remaining installation works should finish by this summer.
