CALGARY, Canada– Husky Energy has received conditional approval on its development plan amendment for the White Rose extension project offshore Newfoundland, from the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB).

Based on the plan amendment, C-NLOPB has altered the reserves and resources for theWhite Rose to add 165 MMbbl of oil, to decrease 5 bcf of gas, and to decrease natural gas liquids by 4 MMbbl.

C-NLOPB said Husky still is considering the investment and has made no final investment decision. One concept that already has C-NLOPB approval involves a fixed wellhead platform. An alternate development scheme uses a subsea option to develop the field extension.
