ABU DHABI, UAE – Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) has awarded National Petroleum Construction Co. (NPCC) a $946-million EPC contract for Phase 1 of the long-term development of the offshore Umm Shaif field.
NPCC’s scope, due to be completed in 2025, covers engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities to maintain the field’s 275,000 b/d crude oil production capacity, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the field’s long-term potential.
More than 75% of the total award will be covered by ADNOC’s In-Country Value program.
The contract comprises two packages for network expansion and new wellhead towers. The first includes modifications to and extension of existing facilities with new subsea cables and pipelines installed for de-bottlenecking purposes.
The second package includes design of three lean wellhead towers with associated new pipelines and will enable use of rigless electrical submersible pumps and other digital field technologies.
