PERTH, Australia – Xodus will perform conceptual engineering design for Petronas’ first carbon capture and storage (CCS) development offshore Malaysia.
The Kasawari CCS project off Sarawak will capture and process carbon dioxide (CO2) from the sour gas field, which will then be injected into a depleted gas field.
Xodus claims to have experience across all aspects of CCS including designing and operating systems to capture, process, transport, inject, and store CO2. For Kasawari, the company will also commit to exchange knowledge and expertise in this field with Petronas and its contractor.
The program is part of Xodus’ contract to provide engineering services for the operator’s Malaysian and international developments.
