LONDON – Corallian Energy plans to submit a development plan by the end of next year for the Victory gas field west of Shetland.

Texaco discovered Victory in 1977 via a well in 158 m (518 ft) water depth that flowed around 9 MMcf/d from 61 m (200 ft) of net gas pay in Lower Cretaceous sandstones.

SLR Consulting estimates 2C contingent resources at 157 bcf, according to Reabold Resources, which has a 34.9% interest in Corallian.

The Oil & Gas Authority (OGA) offered the company the surrounding block 207/1a under the UK’s 32nd offshore licensing round.

Victory has been fully appraised and requires no additional pre-development drilling, Reabold said.

It will likely be produced via a single-well 18-km (11.2-mi) subsea tieback to the HTT2 ‘T’ structure in Total’s Laggan to Sullom Voe pipeline, with potentially an umbilical connection to the Edradour subsea facilities.

A Competent Persons Report should be completed by the end of April 2021 with first gas following late in 2024.

Reabold anticipates a three-year production plateau of 70 MMcf/d from 2025 (over 25 bcf/yr), with a potential field life of eight years.
