Sapura Energy wins contracts offshore Qatar, Congo

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Sapura Energy’s Engineering and Construction and Drilling divisions have secured contracts with a combined value of about RM611 million ($148 million).

Total E&P Golfe has contracted Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd to provide engineering, procurement, supply, construction, installation, and pre-commissioning of two 16-in. pipelines to connect three platforms in the Al-Khalij field in block 6 off Qatar. Average water depth is about 59 m (194 ft). The works are expected to be completed by 2Q FY2022.

Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn Bhd has contracted Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd to provide engineering, procurement, construction, transportation and installation, and hook-up and commissioning of host tie-In and brownfield modification at the Jengka-A and Andalas-B wellhead platforms and MUDA central processing platforms in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area. The works are expected to be completed 3Q FY2022.

Total Exploration and Production Congo has contracted Sapura Drilling Holdings Ltd.’s tender assist drilling rig Sapura Berani. The work scope consists of semi tender-assist drilling rig services for three wells offshore Congo, starting in 4Q FY2021 for three months. The contract includes a one-well extension option.
