According to news service Shana, the 2,200-ton Platform B jacket was loaded out of the Naft Sazeh Qeshm Co. yard at the end of April on the Sadaf 3000 barge, and has now been set down at the offshore location in 71 m (233 ft) water depth.
It is the first of two platform jackets for Phase 11, with 12 planned wells, with the first well due to come onstream next year.
South Pars Phase 11 will have a 500 MMcf/d gas production capacity.
