Third platform in place at South Pars Phase 13 offshore Iran

TEHRAN, Iran – Pars Oil and Gas Co. has taken delivery of the third platform for the Phase 13 of the South Pars gas field development in the Persian Gulf.

An HL-5000 vessel installed the facility, according to news service Shana.

Previously it had been loaded with the 13C satellite platform using the push/pull method on an FLB124 barge.

“This complex and sensitive operation, after careful climate stabilization in the sea, with strict observance of safety principles was carried out in order to accelerate the production program of the field,” said Payam Motamed, a Phase 13 official.
