Vår gets clearance to remove North Sea Jotun platform

OSLO, Norway – Vår Energi has received consent from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) to remove and dispose of the Jotun B platform in the North Sea.
In addition, the PSA has authorized Equinor to use the semisubmersible Transocean Spitsbergen for top hole drilling as part of the ongoing Gullfaks Satellites (GFS) development in the same sector.
The 20-day program, due to start this Saturday, involves top holes for wells 34/10-Q-2, 34/10-Q-3 GFS Rimfaksdalen ahead of production drilling.
