HOUSTONABS and Seatrium have enhanced their partnership on marine and technology projects with the signing of a three-year technology collaboration agreement at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC).

ABS says the agreement is the foundation for further collaboration on a succession of projects under four broad themes: decarbonization, electrification, new energies and digital transformation. The agreement aims to support the commercialization of a range of technological advancements, green retrofit products and services such as carbon capture, electrification and energy efficiency measures.

ABS recognized Seatrium as the first shipyard group to deploy smart technologies in its operations, in compliance with the ABS Guide for Smart Technologies for Shipyards, and the ADMARINE 686 was the first self-elevating drilling unit to be awarded the ABS SMART (SHM) notation.
