OSLO , Norway -- Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved Norske Shell’s plan for exploration drilling on the Ormen Lange field in the Norwegian Sea.
The drillship West Navigator (ex-West Navion) will drill appraisal well 6305/4-2S in a water depth of 1,086 m (3,563 ft).
Activity should start in September 2010, with an estimated duration of 70 days.
