BG Group reports a drillstem test on the Tupi North-East well 3-BRSA-755A-RJS in 2,115 m (6,939 ft) of water in the BM-S.11 appraisal area of the Santos basin pre-salt offshore Brazil flowed at a rate of 5,000 b/d of 28º API oil.

RIO DE JANEIRO – BG Group reports a drillstem test on the Tupi North-East well 3-BRSA-755A-RJS in 2,115 m (6,939 ft) of water in the BM-S.11 appraisal area of the Santos basin pre-salt offshore Brazil flowed at a rate of 5,000 b/d of 28º API oil. Open flow potential is estimated at 30,000 b/d according to BG.
This well follow the successful Iracema well in the same concession, but 30 km (18.6 mi) northwest of this well. Further well data evaluation is under way, including more drilling.
