STAVANGER, Norway –In a release today at ONS, Frigstad Offshore said it has ordered a Samson Offshore vaCut cutting transfer system for the ultra deepwater drilling rig D90 under construction by Yantai Raffles Shipyard, China.
The vaCut system uses airflow from a vacuum pump to transport cuttings from the shaker outlet to transportation containers.
TheD90 recently was bought by Saipem and renamed Scarabeo 9.
