Lundin gets authorization to drill wildcat offshore Norway

Lundin Norway has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploration well in the central Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Lundin Norway has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploration well in the central Norwegian North Sea.
The semisubmersibleBredford Dolphin will drill well 16/4-7 in the southern part of block 16/4 in license 544, and 0.5 km (0.3 mi) north of well 16/4-4.
This will be the first well on the license, awarded in February 2010. Other licensees are Bayerngas Norge and Explora Petroleum.
