HOUSTON — Shell Offshore and its partners have taken FID on a phased drilling campaign to boost production through the Perdido spar platform in the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

The three new wells in the Great White unit, due to be completed in April 2025, should deliver up to 22,000 boe/d at peak.

The Perdido spar, which started production in 2010, is 200 miles south of Galveston in about 8,000 ft of water. Its maximum capacity is 125,000 boe/d.

Shell Offshore operates the Great White unit in an equal equity partnership with Chevron U.S.A. and BP Exploration & Production. The same partners also have interests in the Perdido host.
