HOUSTON  Halliburton Europe’s wireline team has completed logging operations on four wells offshore Croatia for operator INA Group.

The program, with more than 272 hours of operational time, included 17 combined runs without any HSE issues or non-productive time.

Halliburton said its execution, within the agreed schedule, allowed INA to evaluate well results and make operational decisions in real time. In addition, the team developed an integrated measurement and analysis workflow that helped identify further production potential and new hydrocarbon zones.

The team supported INA’s subsurface specialists with formation testing and integrated petrophysical interpretation. For thin layer characterization, Halliburton provided the Xtended-range water-based mud imager (XMRI), designed to help determine sandstone layers and net-pay counts.

Additionally, the team acquired density and neutron porosity in enhanced vertical resolution to facilitate shaly sand analysis and adjust the porosity and gas saturation of sandstone layers.

The reservoir description tool measured real-time fluid density, capacitance and resistivity during pump out, confirming the gas zones were productive, with MRIL magnetic resonance technology deployed to differentiate between moveable and bound hydrocarbons.

In the UK southern North Sea, Halliburton is working with EXCEED Energy, an independent well and reservoir management company, on a six-well integrated plug and abandonment campaign on Centrica Storage’s Rough Alpha platform.

The work scope includes use of multiple Halliburton product service lines and technologies such as CorosaCem, a reduced Portland content cement said to improve resistance to corrosive environments. This will support abandonment of a former gas production well.
