    Shell finds gas in North Sea Pensacola prospect

    Shell’s exploration well on the Pensacola reef prospect in the UK southern North Sea has found gas, according to partner Deltic Energy.

    LONDON — Shell’s exploration well on the Pensacola reef prospect in the UK southern North Sea has found gas, according to partner Deltic Energy.

    The 41/05a-2 well is drilling on license P2252 (Shell 65%, Deltic 30%, ONE-Dyas 5%).

    Shell has recommended to the partners moving to a comprehensive test program to assess the find’s commerciality and help update the geological model.

    The well test should take about 30 days to complete.
