LYNGBY, Denmark – Maersk Drilling’s low-emission jackup Maersk Integrator will replace the Maersk Reacher for a long-term contract with Aker BP offshore Norway.
The Maersk Integrator should start operations around end-February/early March, performing well interventions and stimulation services at the Valhall and Hod fields in the southern Norwegian North Sea. The program will continue through January 2023.
Currently the Maersk Integrator is warm-stacked in Åmøyfjorden outside Stavanger, having completed a drilling campaign for Aker BP last November.
Maersk Drilling and Noble Corp. have received clearance for their proposed business combination from the Norwegian Competition Authority (Konkurransetilsynet). The process for obtaining the other approvals continues.
Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority has authorized Aker BP to use the jackup Maersk Invincible for production drilling at the Valhall Flank West development.
