HAMILTON, Bermuda – Borr Drilling Ltd. has secured a letter of award (LOA) for the premium jackup drilling rig Gunnlod from an undisclosed operator in Malaysia.
The program is expected to start in 4Q 2021 in direct continuation of the rig’s current contract with PTTEP. The approximate duration is 105 days.
This LOA, which the company expects to be converted into a contract soon, will keep the rig contracted over the monsoon season in Southeast Asia and into 1Q 2022.
