TRONDHEIM, Norway – The semisub COSLInnovator will P&A Chrysaor Norge’s Jerv exploration well in the North Sea as a sub-commercial discovery, according to partner OKEA.
Well 15/12-25, drilled in 86 m (282 ft) of water license PL 973, encountered a 40-m (131-ft) gas-condensate column in good-quality reservoir.
However, reservoir pressure was strongly depleted, and the remaining resources are thought to be insufficient for development.
This was the first well on the license, awarded two years ago under the APA 2018 licensing round. The rig will next drill a second well, 15/12-26, in the same license.
