Petrobras confirms further presalt discovery offshore Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has discovered hydrocarbons in the Naru prospect in the presalt Campos basin offshore Brazil.
Well 1-BRSA-1376D-RJS is 308 km (191 mi) offshore Rio de Janeiro in 2,892 m (9,488 ft) of water. Drilling confirmed hydrocarbons in carbonate reservoirs in the presalt section.
Petrobras plans to analyze the well data to further assess prospectivity and future exploratory activities in the area.
The company operates the surrounding block C-M-657 in partnership with ExxonMobil and Equinor.
