Equinor gets nod for further Castberg area well offshore northern Norway

OSLO, Norway – The semisubmersible Transocean Enabler is set to drill the Mist prospect in the Barents Sea in mid-October, after operator Equinor gained approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority.
Well 7219/9-3 will be drilled on license 532, 22 km (13.7 mi) south-southeast of the Johan Castberg field, in a water depth of 326 m (1,069 ft).
