Noble jackup wins extension offshore Qatar

LONDON – Noble Corp. has issued an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.

Qatar Gas has awarded the jackup Noble Mick O’Brien a six-month contract extension. It now runs from late October 2019 to late March 2020.

Offshore Australia, Esso has exercised five of six option wells for the jackup Noble Tom Prosser. The contract now runs to August 2020.

Offshore Guyana, the drillship Noble Don Taylor’s one-year contract with Esso is expected to start late next month.

The jackup Noble Joe Knight is in transit from Singapore to the Middle East. The rig’s three-year contract with Saudi Aramco is expected to start in early October 2019.

Also, the jackup Noble Johnny Whitstine incurred 18 days of operational downtime at zero day rate during 2Q 2019. The rig is under contract to Saudi Aramco.
