Venterra Group names Ed Daniels CEO

Venterra Group Plc has appointed Ed Daniels CEO, effective Oct. 1. He replaces Philippe Kavafyan.

Venterra Group Plc has appointed Ed Daniels CEO, effective Oct. 1.

He replaces Philippe Kavafyan, who was appointed to the position in June 2023.

With a 35-year career working across the energy value chain, Daniels brings a wealth of leadership experience to the group. This includes his role as strategy, sustainability and corporate relations director at Shell Plc, where he sat on the executive committee.

Prior to that, he served as Shell’s executive vice president of strategy and portfolio, as well as CEO of the Shell Catalyst Co. 

He most recently led a series of industry-related projects for Bain & Co.

A qualified chemical engineer, he began his career as a technologist. He is a graduate of Imperial College and Henley Management College and a Fellow of both the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He also has an honorary doctorate from the Imperial College of London.
