TGS appoints senior executives following completion of merger

TGS and PGS have completed their merger and appointed an executive board.

TGS and PGS confirmed that their previously announced merger formally completed on July 1.

TGS, the new group formed from the merger, has appointed an executive board:

  • CEO Kristian Johansen is based in Houston and will continue to drive TGS’ strategic initiatives.
  • Rob Adams, executive vice president (EVP) of Operations in Oslo, will oversee project delivery for the group’s offshore operations and data acquisition technologies.
  • Wadii El Karkouri, EVP of Imaging and Technology in Houston, will lead innovation and technology developments in seismic processing, data analytics and digitalization.
  • David Hajovsky, EVP of Multi-client in Houston, will oversee the group’s global multi-client strategies and initiatives.
  • Carel Hooijkaas, EVP of the New Energy Solutions division in Houston, will lead developments in wind, solar, and carbon capture and storage, along with subsidiaries 4C Offshore and Prediktor.
  • Nathan Oliver, EVP of Contracts in Houston, will spearhead the group’s contract acquisition strategies and initiatives.

TGS also unveiled a redesigned TGS logo that maintains elements from the PGS brand.
